As a 100% vegan brand, ALL of our furs are made with 100% fake fur and a little bit of magic. Our synthetic furs are made with acrylic, polyester, or a blend of the two. The materials used in our liners vary by design, but will NEVER contain fabrics made with genuine animal fur (YUCK!). All customers will receive a confirmation email or SMS after successfully placing an order. Depending on when your order was placed, you'll also receive another confirmation email or SMS with tracking information once the order has shipped.

Orders placed after 12pm PT Friday will be processed the following business day (usually Monday, unless it’s a holiday).

Domestic U.S. orders usually arrive within 2-5 business days, but can take as long as 7-10 business days.

First and foremost…


Heat will DAMAGE faux fur 100% of the time, so NEVER PUT FAUX FUR IN THE DRYER or leave it near any heat sources (including heaters and direct sunlight). Our products are HANG-DRY ONLY and you will want to AVOID hang drying in direct sunlight or near any heat sources.

To spot clean faux fur, use cool water only.
If you must use detergent, we recommend a very light, gentle fabric detergent.

The safest way of cleaning faux fur is by hand-washing with cool water and hang drying away from heat sources (including heaters and direct sunlight). Find step-by-step instructions on how to hand-wash your SpiritHoods hood, coat, throw, etc. below.

Dry cleaning is a convenient and hassle-free way of cleaning faux fur products, but you MUST first make sure your dry cleaner has experience cleaning faux fur and DOES NOT USE HEAT to dry clean. Heat will seriously DAMAGE faux fur and cannot be repaired once the damage is done.


Prepare Product —Remove everything in your pawkets and secret zipper pocket (if it's a SpiritHood brand product).

Prepare Sink or Bathtub — Fill up a bowl, sink, or bathtub with cool water. Most faux fur hoods and shawls can easily be washed in a bathroom or kitchen sink. If you’ve got a faux fur coat, jacket, or vest — you’ll want to use the bathtub.

Wash — Dunk your faux fur into the water. Swish it around. Prepare to be horrified by the amount of dirt that it releases. It’s crazy how much dirt and dust particles can be hiding in your faux fur item! Slosh your faux fur coat, vest, shawl, or hood around for a bit. Let it enjoy a nice swim, allowing all that dirt to fall off.

Rinse — Empty and refill the sink or tub with fresh cold water. If you have any stains or visible spots, gently rub those areas together. Give it a few good sloshes to ensure a full rinse.

Squeeze — Once your faux fur coat, jacket, or vest is nice and clean, it’s time to give it a good squeeze. The water will make your faux fur coat, vest, shawl, or hood heavy. You want to get as much water out now before you hang it up. Concentrate on squeezing or pressing the water out of the bulkier areas of your garment. Use your muscles and gently, but forcefully, press or squeeze out the water, but DO NOT wring it out.

Hang Dry — Now that you’ve squeezed out all the water that you can, it’s time to hang dry. Hang your SpiritHood, faux fur hood, coat, jacket, vest, etc. in your bathroom, near an open window or outside, but out of the direct sunlight and away from any heaters or heat vents. The more air circulating around, the faster your faux fur will dry. FYI: It may take a day or two to fully dry.

Pro Tip:Make sure to check on it every few hours and rotate the item during the drying process to expose all sides. Place a fan nearby to help speed up the process.

7. Brush — Using a wide-toothed brush (like the one included with your SpiritHood purchase), brush the faux fur back into place while still wet. This helps the faux fur retain its natural shape. Brush once more when your item is  dry, to help fluff it up! You may also use your fingers to move the fur back to where you think it looks good.

Fit & Sizing

Age ain’t nothin’ but a number! :P
SpiritHoods products are designed for animals of all ages and the wild at heart! 💖 🐾⁠

Nope! All of our products are 100% unisex and made faux everyone! You will receive exactly the same product whether you shop women’s or men’s — so feel free to purchase from either section on!

We actually call these "Hoods" and they do not fit like most hats. The difference is our Hoods have a more comfortable / loose fit as opposed to an elastic headband like the typical hat or beanie.

Our Hoods also have a custom button on the front that can be used to make sure your hood stays on during even the wildest adventures! The “arms” attached to the Hood and paws also doubles as a scarf for extra warmth and a tighter fit. Yup, we really did think of everything. :)

Our adult-sized Hoods will fit anyone ages 9 to 250. For anyone over the age of 250, please contact us and the Guinness World Records as soon as pawssible.

Most of our outerwear is offered in sizes XXS - XXL. Size XXL can fit up to a women’s 2X.

Mid-length coats feature double-breasted buttons that allow you 2-4 inches of wiggle room.

Calf-Length Coats and Long Coats are cut in a slimmer fit and will fit slightly snugger than the same size coat in our mid length and bomber selections.

SpiritHoods onesies are cut in a slim fit and made with a soft and stretchy velvet material. Our onesies feature side snap buttons to help adjust for a baggier or snugger fit around the waist.

Our Kids Hoods usually fit little ones between the ages of 3 - 9 years old. :)

Kiddos ages 10 and up may better fit in our Adult-Sized Hoods.

We currently carry adult-sized coats only, but some kids may fit into our adult size XXS & XS coats and jackets.

We do not process orders over the weekend.

Once your order ships, you will receive an email or SMS confirmation (depending on the method you signed up for) containing the tracking information for your package.

Add to your contacts if you haven’t already to ensure you receive communications from us.

Your confirmation email may have ended up in your SPAM / Junk Folder. If you have Folders enabled, double check to see if the email is in your “Promotions” or “Updates” folders.

If you still can’t find the email from us, you may find your order status / tracking info by logging in to your account and going to My Orders or Order History.

In-stock orders ship within 1-3 business days, Monday through Friday. Orders placed Friday after 12pm PT will ship out on the next business day (usually Monday, unless it’s a holiday). Orders placed on holidays will begin processing the next business day.

No weekend or holiday delivery is available and is subject to the shipping provider (UPS, FedEx or USPS).

In-stock orders ship within 2-8 business days from our warehouse in Los Angeles, CA, Monday through Friday. Orders placed after 12pm PT are typically processed the following business day.

During major sale events (Halloween, SpiritHoods Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, etc.), in-stock orders may take 5-8 business days to be processed. Orders placed after 12pm PT Friday will be processed the following business day. Orders placed on holidays will begin processing the next business day. No weekend or holiday delivery is available and is subject to the shipping carrier (UPS, FedEx or USPS).

Expedited delivery is available for an additional charge. All express orders are prioritized before shipping but can still take 1-3 business days to process. Express Shipping options will only be shown at checkout if it is available in your area. Expedited orders placed after 12pm PT Thursday may not be processed until the following Monday (or the following business day if Monday is a holiday).

If you are in a city or state within a 1-day ship zone of our warehouse (in downtown Los Angeles, California), you will only have the option for Ground Shipping. This way, you will save some money and still receive your order within the same time frame! ArrroooooOooo!! :)

SpiritHoods is not liable if the incorrect address is provided at checkout. It is the purchaser's responsibility to ensure the billing and shipping addresses provided are accurate prior to placing the order. If we have made an error, we will take full responsibility and handle the issue accordingly.

If you decide to refuse any shipments from, you are responsible for the original shipping charges to you as well as any duties, taxes and VAT or customs charges that the package incurred (on both the original and return shipments), and the cost of returning the package to our warehouse. This amount will be subtracted from your merchandise credit.

If the order is a gift, the package is marked “Gift,” however, the cost of the item is still stated on the customs form. Customs authorities require us to state the value of the gift item directly on the package.

Once we hand your order off to the carrier, the title for merchandise shipped internationally and risk of loss is transferred to you.
